Life has been so busy that I could never find the time to write your testimonial. Here it is now and I hope you like it. My sister and I highly recommend Billy Guthrie of Heritage Heat and Air. He took on a job that many said was impossible. Our lake house has no attic and only a tiny crawl space. Billy, with his ingenuity, perseverance and creativity, successfully completed a difficult job. We admire his hard work ethic and his integrity. My electric bill for the first month that I have used this system was $96.09. (What a big change from the $350.00-$429.00 bills, that I had been receiving). I still cannot believe the difference. I can actually leave the temperature on 80 degrees and the entire house is cool. I took Billy's advice and made the investment, and I could not be more pleased. If this trend with the electric bill continues, I will have saved so much money. I would recommend the American Standard SER16 to anyone, it is a great unit and has so many perks. One being, the unit is compact and is all on the outside, which allows me to use the inside closet for a pantry. Second, the maintenance plan for 5 years is a spectacular deal. I was charged $150.00 on three different occasions on my old unit for maintenance work, that took all of about 20 minutes MAX. Third, Heritage guarantees their duct work for LIFE- hard to believe but TRUE. I want to personally Thank Billy and his brother-in-law for their work. I had many contractors in my home, doing various jobs, and Heritage was the ONLY company, who removed their shoes before entering my home. (I have many grass burrs and they will stick in the carpet if shoes are worn inside). I was only able to pop in from time to time when Heritage was working in my home. My belongings and property was just as I had left it, not one thing out of place or missing. I can assure anyone that this team has a great amount of INTEGRITY and will not leave until the JOB IS COMPLETE and to YOUR satisfaction. Sincerely, "I just wanted to point out a few things to you guys that left a good impression on me not only about your service, but your character. I called Billy on a blistering Saturday evening around 7:00 p.m. to get his advice on an air conditioner problem. I was not expecting him or anyone else to drop what they were doing and come over. As a matter of fact, I even tried to talk him out of coming over until it was convenient for him. He would have no part of it. He showed up in a few minutes and ran some tests on my unit (even though it was probably 30 years old and wore out) and didn’t hesitate to answer any questions I had. He tried a temporary fix (because I could not afford any major expense at the time) that made it cool again and made me feel free to give him a call that evening even though it was getting rather late. I was impressed with his willingness to show me (not just tell me) where I had problems that needed to be addressed and his ability to be able to explain things that I would not have had a clue about. We wound up having to replace the unit anyway and Billy was “Johnny on the spot” about everything from how fast he was able to obtain all the parts to how long it took to get it all installed. He was careful to explain why we needed the system he recommended and even made us feel okay to shop around……NO PRESSURE. That went as far as anything could have with us. He made us a great deal on our new American Standard units and even went out of his way to increase the air flow in our house which was not even part of the deal. Billy sits down with you and together helps decide your needs: Billy doesn’t high pressure you into anything in any way, just offers suggestions for you to consider. My choice was the, American Standard with the automatic filtrating feature. Also, liked knowing it’s manufactured here in Texas. It just perfectly fit my need and found it to be top of the line. My unit was installed, December 2, 2008, and I am so pleased in the way it is working and also knowing it is so energy efficient. I feel Billy was God sent! He’s truly professional in his word and deed and so efficient in his work. I have lived at, Lake Brownwood, since 1979 and as a previous owner of Mt. View Lodge, I’m aware of many companies in the field. But I’m so glad I chose Heritage Heat & Air, a young quickly growing company, because of the honest, professional and dedication of Billy’s work habits. And his service I can depend on in the future. I would like to share with anyone considering installation of a new heating and cooling unit in their home or business, or having one repaired to consider talking with, Billy Guthrie, (Heritage Heat & Air). It’s a fairly young company to the area, but I would highly recommend it to anyone.
